Telehealth visits are being approved on a case-by-case basis and only when appropriate for your unique health issue. If you have an appointment scheduled, your medical condition and care will be reviewed by your Vascular Specialists health care provider. If we are certain we can provide excellent care via telehealth, we will call you to offer such a visit. When you need to schedule a follow up visit, call 815-824-4406 and ask about a telehealth visit. We will not recommend a telehealth visit if we think your health would be compromised in any way.
If a telehealth visit is approved by your provider, our administrative staff will call you to arrange a date and time for your 30-minute visit. You will need to have access to the internet and a smartphone, computer or tablet with a camera. If you don’t have this equipment, we suggest you make arrangements with a family member who will give you access to theirs. About 5-10 minutes before your appointment time, you’ll receive an email with a link to begin your visit. You’ll click the link and then enter a virtual waiting room. Your provider will see you are in the waiting room and when the provider is ready, will begin your visit.
