Dr. Coffey received his undergraduate education at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Erie, Pennsylvania. After medical school, he completed his internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, in Flushing, New York, where he remained for his residency. To further his training, Dr. Coffey completed a vascular and endovascular fellowship at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey.

As far back as he can remember, Dr. Coffey saw medicine as a good way to help people and to use his potential to the fullest. Through his medical and surgical training, and in learning more about the vascular system, Dr. Coffey was drawn to the straightforwardness and elegant simplicity of the veins and arteries, and how treating the diseases of the vascular system brings such an improvement to patients’ quality of life.
